Hello and Welcome!
Your thoughts, emotions, and experiences deserve a safe space. I am honored to accompany my clients on their healing journeys.
I practice from a trauma-informed and attachment-based perspective. It is important to ask, "What has happened to me?", and not, "What is wrong with me?". I aim to help my clients feel safe, validated, and empowered in exploring their concerns and goals in life.
I currently work with teens ages 14 and up, and adults. Please inquire about my current availability. I do not offer night or weekend appointments. I accept Anthem/BCBS, Aetna, and United Healthcare insurances. I am not in network with Medicaid, Medicare, or Tricare insurances.
About Me: I received my B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art, and M.Ed. in Family Counseling, both from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. I have been a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia since 2013. My background is in structural family therapy. I have experience in community mental health, outpatient individual, group, and family counseling, providing counseling in a school setting, crisis counseling and emergency services, and supervisory experience. I am trained in EMDR (a form of trauma processing), and enjoy incorporating creative approaches in my sessions, such as through art, music, and movement. And for anyone interested - I am also: a Libra, an INFP, an artist, and a cat lover :)
**Please note - if you reach out through the contact form above, be sure to check your spam folder; my response emails unfortunately go to spam for some people.
